Jack Nielsen, M.Sc.

Jack Nielsen, M.Sc. is Managing Director at Vivo Capital LLC, since August 2017. Prior to this he worked at Novo Ventures, a part of Novo Holdings, from 2001-2017, most recently being employed as a Senior Partner based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mr. Nielsen is currently Chairman of Aligos Therapeutics, and serves on the Board of Directors of Reata Pharmaceuticals, Crinetics Pharmaceuticals, and Harmony Biosciences. He previously served on the Board of Directors of public companies Akebia Therapeutics, Apollo Endosurgery, and Merus, N.V, as well as a number of private companies including Alios Biopharma, NeoMend, Procept BioRobotics, ProteinSimple, Tobira Therapeutics, and Unchained Labs. Mr. Nielsen received a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and a Masters in Management of Technology from Center for Technology, Economics and Management, Technical University of Denmark.
