Dr. Martin: I guess the very easy answer is absolutely not.

AdaptDx is changing how AMD is managed 

I think of it like would I want to practice without a lot of the other tools I have except I can’t think of one that is so clearly going to change the way we manage a particular disease. We get new glaucoma medications, we get new tools, you know some of those certainly like ERG and VEP; they’re letting us find early functional change there but it isn’t always clear that it’s glaucoma that’s causing the issue and if there’s a much more straighter through line with this. So I would give up a lot of other tools in my office before I’d ever give up my AdaptDx. No question.

Detect patients with serious central vision loss years before it happens

Dr. Lucas: Our job is to enhance vision and to preserve vision so why would I not want something in my practice that could literally save people from losing sight and spending the rest of their life, you know, living in that kind of a world.

Dr. Lowe: In my practice, I can’t imagine practicing now without the AdaptDx technology. When I can pick up the potential for a patient to have a serious central vision loss years before that happens, it’s golden. It’s not only best for my patients but it’s a great practice builder. I don’t even have to do one iota of marketing. When a patient has a success story in our practice they tend to share that with other people in the community so it just builds on itself and I can help more people.

Early detection is key in addressing AMD

Dr. Martin: I would say that getting an AdaptDx is like having a visual field piece of equipment. Having an OCT, having a topographer if you’re serious about addressing macular degeneration and what it can can do to your patients then you certainly don’t you don’t want to get there late and having the opportunity to see these patients and test them early and make sure that your patients are not heading down this road it’s invaluable it’s it’s certainly valuable.

With a patient, I take it very personally as I’ve discussed with my mom having this disease that there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to have that tool 15 years ago. So if you’re gonna be serious about addressing this disease this is the tool you got to have.
